Maasai Mara and safariLive

WildEarth – safariLIVE in the Maasai Mara, The Mara Triangle, Kenya… Screen Shots taken from the safariLIVE program, presently filming in the Maasai Mara, Kenya.  Broadcast Live twice a day on YouTube. Some of my favorite scenes are the Iconic views seen in The Mara Triangle. The Sausage Tree Pride are the lions in these…

Snake Yikes

Not the greatest photo, but I had to post. A snake on the back porch the other morning, eating lizards overnight. The lizards sometime perch on the rope net at night. I guess the “Yellow Rat” snake (juvenile) realized he found an easy meal. It looks like from the bumps in his body he ate…

My Giraffe

As I have said before, I am a really big fan of mid-century art and home decor. I guess it’s just the nostalgic bones in me.   Nostalgic is experiencing or exhibiting nostalgia, a sentimental or wistful yearning for the happiness felt in a former place, situation, or time.   I enjoy visiting eBay to…

Juvenile Cardinal

I spotted this little cardinal hopping around in the grass, it was difficult to snap a shot of him…

American Robins

More visitors in my backyard, American Robins.  These birds are so interesting, I don’t think they get enough credit because they are so common.  They have such pretty markings and colors.  The Robins also sing one of the prettiest songs.  I love to sit on my back porch to listen and observe these birds.

Bathroom Visitor

Woke up the other day and headed to the bathroom, you know the regular routine for most people… I caught a glimpse of something different out of the corner of my eye. As you can see the something different was a frog perched in one of the fake candles on the shelf. I have know…

After The Storm

Look what popped out of the woods, at dusk when Hurricane Irma took her leave in my area!  What a great site to see these beautiful deer after all the destruction Irma left for us to deal with…

Red-Shouldered Hawk Juvenile (I think)…

Ok, I’m pretty sure this is the Red-Shouldered Hawk juvenile.  At first I thought it was a juvenile Red Tailed Hawk.  The reason I’m not sure is because it is a juvenile hawk, many young birds look so much different than the adults.  Soooo, anyways whatever it is, I’m very happy to have spotted it….

St. Augustine Alligator Farm & Zoological Park

ATTRACTIONS, EXHIBITS, & SHOWS: St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park… Located at 999 Anastasia Blvd. St. Augustine, FL 32080. One of my favorite places to take photos, the Park has a great variety of animals, as well as birds, reptiles, and wildlife shows.  In this post I have included photos of alligators (including Albino Alligators), turtles, Gharial…

Styx Pride of Lions

What a great safariLive today! The photo slide above shows the lion pride, which consist of the adult females and their cubs.  This pride, called the Styx Pride, has 3 adult females and 2 cubs born in Sept. 2016 and 4 cubs born in March 2017. The adult males, are somewhere in the bush, notice…

safariLIVE

I’m hooked, I stumbled on this safariLive site.  This live feed is great, the guides are informative and fun. Anyone can ask questions through twitter or email. I honestly can’t believe how much I have learned in this first week, since I came upon this great live feed… You to can join a LIVE African Safari,…

Piper

Sandpipers…  I have always enjoyed sitting and watching these hyper little birds when they show up, at the beaches in my town, Crescent Beach & St. Augustine Beach in Florida. While looking up the recap of The Oscars (I Don’t like watching the whole drawn out version), I noticed the Short Film, animated category winner…
